In 1982, the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, a $260 million development, was constructed on 7th Street. This resort offered 600 suites and three restaurants. The resort quickly began to win awards and gained a national reputation for friendly hospitality and service. One of the distinctive features of the Tapaito Cliffs Resort and her sister resort the Squaw Peak Resort, is their pioneering use of the two-room suite accommodation. Guests enjoy separate living room and bedroom areas, providing a spacious and comfortable experience. In 1991, a joint venture management partnership with Hilton Hotels Corporation began, a merger that resulted in the formation of a new subsidiary, the Pointe Hilton Resorts.

Each resort is like a Spanish-Mediterranean village nestled into the base of dramatic Phoenix mountain ranges with a vast array of restaurants, recreational facilities and personal services. Along with luxury all-suite accommodations and extensive meeting facilities, indoor and outdoor activities include championship golf, tennis, hiking, jogging, bicycle riding, swimming, basketball, horseshoes, full-service spas and executive fitness centres.

Each resort features a variety of dining atmospheres to match any mood. The Pointe Hilton Resorts offer 7 distinctive theme dining establishments, ranging from Southwestern and authentic Mexican fare to regional American cuisine. In addition to carefully prepared entrées, frosty drinks, quality service and panoramic views, each restaurant provides live entertainment nightly to create a memorable dining experience.

When it's time to end an active day, guests can relax in a spacious, two-room suite with one bedroom and a seperate living room area, fully stocked refrigerated mini-bar with wet bar and cable television.

At Tapatio Cliffs, The Falls is a three-acre oasis of waterfalls, streams and gardens, including a 138-foot slide flume known as The Pointe Plunge. The active pool features lap lanes and a fountain centerpiece, and the grotto pool offers soothing ambiance. Both pools feature private Cabanas for daily rental (23 total) and the Cascades Café serves a refreshing menu to satisfy any appetite.

Featuring dramatic views of the Valley of the Sun, the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort offers 585 two-room suites, 65,000 square feet of meeting space and five restaurants all nestled atop the desert mountain preserve. The Lookout Mountain Golf Club at Tapatio Cliffs is a magnificent par-72 course, home of the Skills Challenge, won quick PGA approval as the site of the Arizona Classic and was christened the "Champagne Stop" by visiting pros on the Senior Tour. Featuring lush greens entwined by carefully preserved Sonoran Desert, this championship 18-hole course combines spectacular scenery with challenging play.

Guest Rooms Standard Suites Elegantly appointed fabrics and furnishings combine bold hues and patterns that embrace the spirit of the surrounding Sonoran landscape. Each two-room suite has one bedroom and a separate living room area. The two-room suites offer a choice of one king bed or two queen beds. Both single and double accommodations offer a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, upon request and availability. All Standard Suites feature a fully stocked refrigerated mini-bar, and are equipped with two, two-line telephones and television in both the bedroom and the living room as well as hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. Each two-room suite has one bedroom and a separate living room area. Due to suite renovations floor plans may vary. Presidential Suites A luxurious two-room suite with home-like comforts. The bedroom has one king bed, sitting area and spacious bathroom with double vanity. The living room has a fireplace, wet bar, dining table for five and a spacious lounging area. The suite also has a second half bathroom and additional closets for added convenience.   Ambassador Suites The perfect accommodations for the business traveler and those who like a more spacious bathroom. This suite has the same great layout as our standard suite with the exception of a more complete bathroom. You will also find the suite décor is upgraded from the standard suite. Located around the resort to offer a vast selection of location requests, these Suites have complete wheelchair access. Phones and televisions are closed captioned for the hearing impaired. Grande Suite Quite simply our finest accommodation. Within you'll find two deluxe bedrooms, each with elegantly appointed king beds. This suite also provides two-and-a-half finely appointed bathrooms. A large living room with a fireplace, stereo system and premium liquor bar are just a few of the top-of-the-line amenities this suite has to offer. You will also find an exquisite dining area with a table for six and a butler kitchen for food service.

Restaurants & Lounges Perched on a mountaintop 1,800 feet above the city, Different Pointe of View combines the finest French-Italian-Mediterranean cuisine, breathtaking views, an internationally acclaimed wine cellar (winner of the Grand Award for Restaurant Wine Lists) and outstanding service to create one of the Valley's finest dining experiences. The menu is based on innovative French-Italian-Mediterranean flavors and is prepared with fresh herbs and vegetables from the mountainside Chef's Garden. For sampling of the restaurant's very best, a Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairings is offered nightly.
